Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
- PE licensure or ability to obtain within six months.
- 5+ years of consulting experience in medium/high-voltage design.
- Experience with electrical construction drawings and specs.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design medium- and high-voltage power systems for renewables (solar, wind, BESS, EV).
- Perform traditional transmission and distribution design (underground/overhead).
- Prepare specs, calculations, drawings, and construction packages up to 200 kV.
- Conduct QA/QC to meet standards and client requirements.
- Support field personnel with HV collection systems and substations.
- Perform short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and other studies.
- Collaborate with civil/structural teams and coordinate across offices.
- Lead feasibility studies and interconnection reporting; assist project management.
- Mentor junior engineers; travel for meetings/field reviews as needed.
