Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled electrician to inspect, test, and troubleshoot high‑voltage electrical systems up to 500kV. The role involves transformer and relay testing, cable diagnostics, and on‑call support across North America.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license. NETA certification is preferred. IPS offers extensive training, competitive pay, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Electrical Power or military training preferred.
• NETA Certification (III/IV) highly preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up electrical systems up to 500kV and collect data.
• Test instrument transformers and power transformers (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance).
• Test relays (electro-mechanical and solid state).
• Perform cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot).
• Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches and high/low voltage switchgear.
• Be available for on-call emergencies and travel locally/overnight.
• Adhere to electrical safety procedures and work safely in teams.
