Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) seeks a skilled electrical tester to inspect, test, and troubleshoot high- and medium-voltage systems up to 500 kV. The role includes relay calibration, transformer testing, and power metering tasks.

Candidates should have a strong safety mindset, at least 5 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. NETA certs are preferred; travel and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• NETA III or IV certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• OSHA 30, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License with driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up HV/LV systems up to 500kV.
• Calibrate relays (electro‑mechanical and solid state) and perform power metering tests.
• Test transformer equipment: Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.
• Perform cable tests: Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot.
• Troubleshoot ATS and low/medium/high voltage switchgear.
• Travel locally and overnight; on-call for emergencies.
