Job summary

WSP seeks a Substations Project Manager to lead high- and extra-high-voltage substation projects across a nationwide set of offices, including Fort Worth, Denver, Boise, and Ann Arbor. You will supervise technical execution, budgets, schedules, QA/QC, safety, and client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities include coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and energization while mentoring junior staff and ensuring adherence to standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience in HV/EHV substation projects.
• 7–10 years of progressive post-education project management experience delivering HV/EHV, T&D, or utility-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional teams delivering HV/EHV substations, managing budgets, schedules, risk, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
• Develop and review project proposals, schedules, execution strategies, and resource plans for utility-scale projects.
• Coordinate technical aspects of contract negotiations and ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.
• Provide regular reporting and monitor earned value, cash flow, and budgeted margin.
