Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead high‑voltage and EHV substation projects within the Power & Energy Management Team. You will drive project delivery, budgets, and KPI tracking across the full lifecycle from proposal through closeout.

You will guide a multidisciplinary team, manage client relationships, and ensure QA/QC compliance while navigating a dynamic, multi-project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 12+ years post-education experience in project management within Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years leading engineering/construction teams for HV/EHV substation projects.
• Experience with PM processes: Contract, Meetings, Earned Value, Change, Risk, Schedule, Financials.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for high voltage and EHV substation projects, managing budgets, forecasts, margins, and KPIs.
• Engage stakeholders at all levels and report on project progress.
• Contribute to pursuit/initiation activities including go/no-go decisions and risk mitigation.
• Lead contract negotiations and client presentations when required.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and appropriate technical reviews by qualified staff.
• Maintain regular client communications, monthly status reports, and scope/budget updates.
