Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer - Substation to lead HV/EHV substation design tasks under a Lead Engineer. You will perform engineering calculations, write equipment specifications, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure cost and schedule targets are met.

Responsibilities include vendor evaluation, interface with customers, and contributing to automation and quality improvements. Travel, including international, is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. GPA > 3.0.
• Work experience in power systems engineering and design.
• Ability and willingness to travel, including internationally, in compliance with company travel and tax policies.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical tasks for AC substation projects under the guidance of a Lead Engineer.
• Develop high voltage substation; perform engineering calculations related to substation design.
• Coordinate overall design with other disciplines; write specs for HV equipment and prepare material purchase requests.
• Evaluate vendor quotations for substation equipment; resolve technical issues with customer and project manager.
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager to maintain project budget and schedule; work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate with sourcing and project teams to meet specifications, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Interface with stakeholders and support proposal development; contribute to automation, productivity, and quality initiatives.
