Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable HR Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department. This part-time position will assist with employee timekeeping, HR documentation, training materials, supply management, and general administrative functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic HR or administrative experience who is interested in developing their skills and growing within Human Resources. Training will be provided as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Track and review employee timecards for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and document lunch penalties, timecard corrections, attendance issues, and timekeeping violations.
- Review records for errors and make appropriate corrections as needed.
- Assist with employee paperwork and general HR administrative functions.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee and departmental records.
- Ensure required paperwork is completed correctly and submitted on time.
- Prepare and organize paperwork, handouts, and other materials for employee classes and training.
- Assist with ordering and maintaining office and HR supplies.
- Perform data entry and maintain information using Excel, Google Workspace, and other computer-based systems.
- Proofread documents and correspondence for grammar, accuracy, and completeness.
- Handle employee and HR information with appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
Qualifications
- Basic Human Resources or administrative experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications.
- Strong general computer skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to identify errors, discrepancies, and incomplete information and make appropriate corrections.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Dependable and able to complete assigned responsibilities on schedule.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally and discreetly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an HR team.
