Job Summary
The HSE & Facilities Support Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) program, along with fire, security, and energy-related programs for the Irvine (CA) and Calexico (CA) sites. The Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws, and Safran policies and procedures. Reporting to the Senior Engineering and Facilities Manager in Irvine, CA, the role involves managing work across Operations, Engineering, and Finance, with travel to Calexico and Mexicali (MX) required.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations through safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  2. Safety Program Management: Implement hazard communication, injury/illness prevention programs (IIPP), and emergency response plans.
  3. Accident Investigations: Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Security Program: Develop relationships with cross-functional leaders to support security systems, site awareness, and risk management.
  5. Fire Life Safety Program: Oversee fire system inspections and maintenance, ensuring compliance with local codes.
  6. Energy Management & Low Carbon Initiative: Develop and implement energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategies, engaging with stakeholders and evaluating new technologies.
  7. Emergency Response: Coordinate evacuations, drills, and ensure readiness for emergencies.
  8. California Regulations Compliance: Ensure adherence to Cal/OSHA, workers' compensation, and environmental laws.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
  • Valid OSHA 30/40-hour General Industry certification.
  • Project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Skills in self-management, risk assessment, and cost reduction initiatives are a plus.

Travel Requirements

Work Environment

Combination of office, engineering, and manufacturing settings with exposure to noise, fumes, and dust.
