Job Summary

The Supply Chain Contracts Manager manages all vendor (direct and indirect) contract activities, including negotiation, implementation, and monitoring of contractual terms. The role involves reviewing US government projects and proposals related to supply chain activities, supporting procurement teams, and developing best practices.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Draft, review, amend, negotiate, and securely store contracts using all necessary procedures and techniques.
  2. Define, document, deploy, and implement processes supporting vendor contract activities.
  3. Assess current and potential suppliers to ensure good standing with local authorities.
  4. Negotiate business terms and conditions for supplier agreements and justify contract opportunities.
  5. Monitor supplier performance and contractual details post-award.
  6. Draft supplier correspondence related to penalties, performance issues, and deviations.
  7. Track contract expiration dates and coordinate extensions and amendments.
  8. Support procurement and supplier relationship managers in managing suppliers and mentoring procurement staff.
  9. Manage material liabilities and minimize business exposure.
  10. Advise management on contractual rights and obligations, analyze data, and maintain records.
  11. Ensure all contract documentation complies with policies and is accurately maintained in databases and ERP systems.
  12. Provide contractual expertise across the business and support the implementation of procurement policies.
  13. Develop effective supply chain solutions and produce monthly contract status reports.
  14. Support the development of procurement policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, business, manufacturing, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supplier contract management within aerospace or related industries.
  • Knowledge of business law, contracts, and aerospace industry practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, SAP, and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
