Job summary

ClearWater Express Wash is hiring an HR Specialist for our Montgomery, TX office. This in-office, full-time role supports onboarding, records, benefits and compliance across our Texas locations.

You’ll work with talent acquisition, payroll and operations to guide team members and leaders, ensuring accurate data and adherence to employment laws while delivering strong HR service across sites.

Qualifications

• HR experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Paycom HRIS.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding, paperwork and orientation for team members at multiple locations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data.
• Process changes such as promotions, transfers and terminations.
• Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment.
• Support employee relations, investigations and documentation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws (I-9s, E-Verify, postings).
• Assist onboarding for new site openings or acquisitions.
• Support HR reporting, audits and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with site leaders on HR policies and procedures.

We're looking for an organized, people-focused HR Specialist to join our team at our Montgomery office and help support team members across all of our sites.

Position Summary

The HR Specialist supports the day-to-day HR functions that keep our company running smoothly, from onboarding and employee records to benefits, compliance and employee relations. You'll work closely with our talent acquisition, payroll and operations teams, and serve as a go-to resource for team members and leaders across our locations. This role is a great fit for someone who knows HR, enjoys helping people, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company.

What You'll Do

• Manage new hire onboarding, paperwork and orientation for team members across multiple locations
• Maintain accurate employee records and data in Paycom (our HRIS)
• Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, pay changes and terminations
• Support benefits administration and open enrollment, and answer team member benefit questions
• Help with employee relations issues, documentation and investigations as needed
• Make sure we comply with federal, state and local employment laws (I-9s, E-Verify, labor law postings, etc.)
• Support onboarding for new site openings and acquisitions
• Assist with HR reporting, audits and record-keeping
• Partner with site leaders and managers on HR policies, procedures and best practices
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications: What You Bring

• HR experience required
• Experience with Paycom strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable attitude
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certification is a plus
