Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Personnel Coordinator to manage payroll, time records, and front-end operations. You will handle daily cash balancing, oversee cashier accountability, and support hiring, training, and orientation across store teams.

This role requires discretion, strong communication, and reliable collaboration with store leadership. Responsibilities include maintaining HR records, processing payroll, coordinating leave paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing and time records.
• Strong cash handling and cash register reconciliation knowledge.
• Able to communicate clearly with store leadership and teams.
• Demonstrates integrity and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple duties efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily reconciliation, cash balancing, and accounting tasks.
• Monitor cashier accountability and report shortages or variances.
• Coordinate hiring process including postings and interviews.
• Maintain sales records and report daily/weekly sales to Division Office.
• Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
