Job summary

Jerry.ai seeks an experienced HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions that aren’t covered in a handbook. You will shape HR policies, resolve escalations, and guide AI-driven improvements in HR operations.

This hands-on role requires in-house multi-state experience, a BA, and the ability to thrive in a small, high-intensity team while building scalable, compliant processes across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team handling payroll, benefits, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance: track state-by-state law changes and implement policy updates across classifications and pay ranges.
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions requiring experienced judgment.
• Review and unblock the Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
• Grow into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management over time.
