Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a hands-on HR Operations professional to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You will shape processes with an AI-driven mindset and guide the Payroll and HR Administration team through complex scenarios.

You will operate in a remote-first environment with optional in-office or hybrid options, and play a key role in expanding our HR capabilities as we scale across states and new business lines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HR generalist experience with policy drafting and payroll
• Genuine in-house multi-state compliance experience
• Comfortable in a small, fast-paced team handling payroll, benefits and compliance

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance: track changes, draft updates and implement across classifications and pay ranges
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions needing experienced judgment
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members
• Architect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset, beyond just using AI tools
• Grow into day-to-day HR operations ownership over time
