Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You will shape AI-driven HR processes and guide the Payroll and HR Administration teams through complex scenarios.

You will work in a small, fast-paced environment, handling end-to-end compliance, policy updates, and escalations, with opportunities to expand ownership as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience (not just reviewed others' work).
• In-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable touching payroll, benefits, and compliance personally in a small, high-intensity team.

Responsibilities

• Handle multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across all employee classifications and pay ranges.
• Respond to escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
• Review and unblock tasks for Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset and rethink how the function should work.
• Grow into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management over time.
