Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an experienced HR Operations lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You will shape policies, lead the annual audit and handbook refresh, and partner with our Payroll and HR Administration teams.

You will also experiment with AI-native approaches to streamline processes in a fast-growing, high-intensity environment. This role requires hands-on in-house experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a proactive mindset to scale HR operations

Qualifications

• Hands-on, in-house HR generalist experience with multi-state compliance.
• Experience drafting policies and navigating payroll & benefits questions.
• Ability to lead annual compliance audits and handbook refresh.
• Thrives in a small, high-intensity team and collaborates cross-functionally.
• Open to building AI-enabled HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state compliance and policy updates across the org.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Redesign HR ops with an AI-native mindset.
