Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You’ll design processes, guide the HR team, and shape AI integration in HR ops to reduce busywork while maintaining judgment and accuracy.

You’ll drive the annual audit, handbook refresh, and day-to-day HR operations, collaborating in a remote-first, fast-moving startup environment with state-by-state responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team touching payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh in first 90 days.
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions needing experienced guidance.
• Reviewing and unblocking the work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
• Growing into ownership of day-to-day HR operations management over time.
