Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an in-house HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You’ll shape how AI fits into HR ops and reduce busywork for the team.

You’ll work in a fast-growing, small, high-intensity environment with real influence from day one, including ownership growth and collaboration across payroll, benefits, and compliance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of in-house HR generalist experience with hands-on policy drafting and payroll handling.
• Genuine multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team and eager to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish (first 90 days).
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions that require experienced judgment.
• Reviewing and unblocking the work of the Payroll and HR Administration team.
• Architect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset and broader ownership over time.
