Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations professional to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You’ll shape our handbook updates, drive audits, and partner with our Payroll and HR Administration teams in a fast-growing, AI-enabled environment.

You’ll impact day-to-day HR operations, apply in-house compliance expertise, and help integrate AI into HR processes while thriving in a small, high-energy team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team with payroll, benefits and compliance responsibilities.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance: track state-by-state law changes, draft policy updates and ensure implementation across employee classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh within the first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits and leave questions.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
• Grow into day-to-day HR operations management ownership over time.
