Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. This in-house role requires hands-on execution, not just reviews, and you’ll drive complex HR processes across states while shaping AI-enabled workflows.

You’ll lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh, escalate payroll and benefits issues, and mentor the Payroll/HR Administration team. You’ll gradually assume day-to-day HR operations management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience; you draft policy and process payroll.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team and able to touch payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions that require judgement.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh start to finish in your first 90 days.
• Escalate payroll, benefits, and leave questions needing an experienced hand.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
• Grow into day-to-day HR operations management over time.
