Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a hands-on HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy updates, and payroll/benefits questions with an AI-forward mindset. You will drive audits, handbook refreshes, and escalation handling while shaping how AI augments HR operations.

This is a high-impact, in-house role in a fast-growing startup environment. You should be comfortable in a small, high-intensity team, ready to take on complex compliance tasks, and eager to build a scalable HR function with AI

Qualifications

2+ years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience (in-house).
Genuine multi-state compliance experience.
Experience drafting policies and handling payroll and compliance filings.
Excited to build with AI and automate where it makes sense.

Responsibilities

Own multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications.
Lead annual compliance audits and handbook refresh from start to finish in your first 90 days.
Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration teams.
Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
Grow into day-to-day HR operations management over time.
