Rehab of Polk County in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Human Resources Manager to support end-to-end HR functions at an onsite facility. You will screen applicants, manage eligibility records, onboard new hires, and handle payroll and timekeeping.

This role requires strong HR experience in healthcare settings and a solid understanding of personnel regulations. The position emphasizes recruitment, training, compliance, and employee relations, with responsibilities spanning interviewing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in human resource management.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to personnel administration in healthcare/post-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Screen applications and references and arrange interviews as required or directed.
• Maintain job applications and personnel eligible-to-work records.
• Conduct employee background checks per facility policy.
• Develop and implement a facility recruitment, selection, and training plan.
• Hire personnel and complete onboarding per hiring practices.
• Maintain personnel record filing system supporting facility needs.
• Assist with scheduling work hours, assignments, and vacation schedules.
• Maintain attendance records and documentation of counseling, warnings, and other actions.
• Terminate employees when necessary, coordinating with leadership.
• Review time cards for accuracy.
• Review and process payroll for the facility.
