Job summary

FEMA Corporation is a global leader in electro-hydraulic solutions, seeking an HR Intern to gain hands-on exposure to core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, and employee engagement. Reporting to the Sr.

HR Generalist, you will develop practical HR skills and learn best practices in a global context. Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting and onboarding, maintaining intranet content, and preparing basic reports for managers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Work 20 hours per week during the normal school year and 32–40 hours per week during the summer months.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Clear communication skills and discretion with confidential information.
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: assist with non-exempt recruiting, new hire orientation, and the applicant tracking system.
• Employee Relations: update intranet content, support recognition programs, and help plan employee events and announcements.
• Compliance & Reporting: document workflow instructions and prepare basic reports for managers.
• Learning & Development: shadow HR staff and meet regularly with the HR Manager for feedback and career development.
