Job summary

TechOps Specialty Vehicles in Stevensville, MD is seeking an HR Generalist / Recruiter to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR records, and compliance. This role will help build a strong, compliant HR function within a growing specialty vehicle manufacturing environment.

You will partner with production and management to fulfill staffing needs, manage ADP Workforce Now, coordinate 30/60/90 day check-ins, maintain confidential files, and uphold

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant HR experience, including hands-on generalist responsibilities.
• Hands-on recruiting experience.
• Experience supporting HR activities with discretion handling confidential information.
• Working knowledge of employment practices and escalation when outside guidance is needed.
• Experience using an HR/payroll system; ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and electronic recordkeeping.
• Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and sound judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple openings independently and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recruit staffing needs with managers and draft job descriptions.
• Post openings, source candidates, review applications, and interview.
• Coordinate interviews and candidate evaluations.
• Manage agencies, job boards, partnerships and references.
• Coordinate onboarding paperwork and 30-, 60-, and 90-day check-ins with new employees.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy.
• Support benefits enrollment and open enrollment and coordinate related changes.
• Assist with leave requests and payroll-related changes.
• Update HR policies and handbook as needed.
• Ensure confidentiality and escalate complex issues.
