Brown Group Companies is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Corporate HR team in Ridgeland, MS. This role focuses on recruiting, new hire processing, onboarding, and benefits administration to ensure smooth HR operations.

Ideal candidates will have 2–5 years of HR experience, a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and strong communication skills. The position emphasizes compliance with OSHA and labor laws and requires lifting up to 10 lbs and occasional travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of HR experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand instructions, policies, regulations, and other communications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficient knowledge of applicable employment, OSHA, and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment process, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and processing pre-hire screenings.
• Attend job fairs and school events to promote the company and careers.
• Assist with new hire processing and onboarding, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate.
• Identify training needs and assist with creating training programs for team members.
• Support benefit enrollment processes and answer questions about group insurance and 401(k).
• Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries.
• Maintain and update employee records in HRIS.
• Provide data and insights to support HR metrics and analytics.
• Conduct, maintain, analyze, create reports, and follow-up on survey responses (onboarding, exit, pulse, engagement).
• Assist in HR projects and initiatives supporting company goals and AOP.
• Maintain confidentiality of HR-related information and records.
