Job summary

Six Degrees Search partners with a Wheaton-based financial services firm to recruit an HR Generalist focused on benefits and recruiting. The role is hands-on, not a traditional people-management position, requiring initiative and independent work to support day-to-day HR and business operations.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of progressive HR experience with recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Hands-on HR professional able to work independently in a growing organization.
• Experience in financial services, banking, or related industry is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll processes, and employment compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting, including posting jobs, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
• Orchestrate new-hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation across the organization.
• Administer benefits programs and support open enrollment and employee questions.
• Maintain HR records and assist with employee relations and policy communications.
• Support payroll and coordinate employee data changes with HRIS and payroll vendors.
• Help develop and improve HR policies, workflows, and scalable practices.
