Six Degrees Search is partnering with an established financial services firm in Wheaton, Illinois, to identify an HR / Business Manager. This hands-on role covers recruiting, benefits administration, and general HR operations in a growing organization with ~22 employees.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in recruiting, employee benefits, and HR administration, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day HR tasks while contributing to broader business

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of progressive HR experience.
• Hands-on experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee benefits administration.
• Experience or exposure within financial services, banking, insurance, mortgage, investment management, or related industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll processes, and employment compliance.
• Experience working with benefits brokers and insurance carriers is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and take initiative.
• Comfortable working in a smaller organization where responsibilities may evolve.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
• Partner with leadership to identify hiring needs and support workforce planning.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation.
• Help develop recruiting and onboarding processes as the organization grows.
• Coordinate employee benefits programs, open enrollment, and assist employees with benefits questions and elections.
• Maintain employee records and assist with employee relations matters.
• Support HR compliance, policies, and employee communications.
• Maintain HR systems, personnel records, and employee documentation.
• Support payroll administration and coordinate employee changes.
• Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, workflows, and internal processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience.
