Job summary

Six Degrees Search is partnering with a growing financial services firm in Wheaton, IL to hire an HR Generalist focused on benefits and recruiting. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of recruiting, onboarding, employee benefits, HR operations, and related admin tasks in a small-team setting.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in recruiting and benefits administration, with experience in a similar industry and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–10 years of progressive HR experience with recruiting, benefits administration, and HR operations.
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Experience or exposure in financial services, banking, insurance, mortgage, or related industry is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with HR systems, payroll processes, and employment compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting & onboarding: manage full-cycle recruiting, postings, sourcing, interviewing, and offers.
• Benefits administration & employee relations: coordinate benefits programs and open enrollment; work with brokers and carriers.
• HR operations & process improvement: maintain HR records and policies; support payroll and changes.
• Business & office operations: assist leadership on admin tasks and vendor relationships.
