Job summary

bcI is seeking an HR Generalist to manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. You will support and/or lead a range of HR activities across the organization to promote an efficient, conflict-free workplace.

Responsibilities include administering policies, facilitating recruitment, tracking onboarding, and handling employee relations investigations while ensuring compliance with labor laws and contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in various areas of Human Resources.
• 2+ years' Employee Relations experience.
• 2+ years' office experience incl. typing and reports.
• Strong PC skills with MS Office and database software.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer policies and programs to ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Ensure policies are followed and legal obligations are met to minimize risk and boost morale.
• Lead or support HR projects such as compliance reviews and wage changes.
• Organize, implement and track training and development initiatives.
• Facilitate recruitment by opening requisitions and screening applicants.
• Monitor onboarding to ensure proper documentation and timely completion.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues and investigations.
• Assist management in coaching, counseling and performance documentation.
• Support processing of employee changes including promotions and terminations.
• Assist vendor for leaves of absence administration.
• Gather and analyze data with HR metrics.
• Ensure compliance with labor union regulations.
