Job summary

American business solutions inc in Boston is seeking an experienced HR Generalist on a contract basis to coordinate recruitment, staff onboarding, and pre-employment activities while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

You will manage benefits enrollment, leave administration, performance support, and HR reporting, maintaining confidential personnel records and partnering with managers to enhance workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Three to five years of HR experience with recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and hiring activities.
• Screen applications, schedule interviews, and conduct initial candidate assessments.
• Coordinate pre-employment orientation activities and benefits enrollment.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
• Promote positive employee engagement and workplace culture.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment activities.
• Administer leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave policies.
• Liaise with benefits providers and vendors.
• Support performance evaluation processes and coaching strategies.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with policy development, implementation, and communication.
• Maintain personnel files and HR records accordingly.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to HR activities and audits.
• Maintain employee information in HRIS and generate workforce reports.
