Job summary

Edges Electrical Group is seeking a full-time HR Generalist to support 350 employees across 12 locations from our Sacramento, CA office. The role covers employee relations, recruitment/onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and leave management, with emphasis on California employment law and safety programs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in HR or related field with 3+ years of HR Generalist/Coordinator experience, or 8+ years in HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field plus 3+ years in HR Generalist/Coordinator roles; or 8+ years HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR principles.
• Experience investigating and resolving employee relations issues; administering benefits and leaves; and workers’ compensation/safety programs.
• HRIS administration experience; ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; pivot tables a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acts as employee relations specialist and conducts investigations.
• Supports recruitment tasks: posting, reviewing applications, prescreens, and offer extensions.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and company policy; maintains HRIS data accuracy.
• Administers benefits programs and responds to employee inquiries; coordinates with carriers and brokers.
• Manages leave programs (FMLA/CFRA) and interactive accommodation process.
• Supports performance cycles, engagement initiatives, and training program delivery.
• May handle Workers’ Compensation and safety program duties; ensures Cal/OSHA compliance.
