Job summary

SBM is seeking an HR Generalist to coordinate employee relations, training, onboarding, performance management, recruitment, retention and compliance across divisions in California.

The role partners with the training team, coaches managers on performance issues, maintains personnel records, and prepares government reports. You will drive engagement through site visits, ESAT initiatives, and pay‑related guidance, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field.
• 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
• Partner with training department or identify external resources to arrange training for employees and managers.
• Coach managers with employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with SBM policies and procedures.
• Drive employee engagement through site management training, regular site visits, and use of the mobile app where available; communicate ESAT action plans.
