Job summary

Colusamedcenter is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support employee relations and HR operations. The role reports to the CAO, with no direct supervisory duties, and focuses on benefits administration, policy interpretation, and record-keeping.

The successful candidate will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information in a compliant manner. This is a full-time, non-exempt position in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Two to five years' experience in employee and/or labor relations with emphasis on generalist functions preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in handling complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource for employees and managers regarding human resource policies and procedures.
• Assist employees with enrollment and termination of benefits and forwards payroll information to the Payroll Department.
• Counsels and helps employees with benefits.
• Initiates and maintains the flow of employee personnel action forms and records.
• Maintains confidential files and processes new employee paperwork and verification of employment references.
