Job summary

Catholic Funeral & Cemetery Services of the Diocese of Sacramento is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to perform HR duties at the Pastoral Center. The role supports benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training, onboarding and policy implementation.

This full-time position reports to the Human Resources Manager. Responsibilities include recruitment, timekeeping, compliance, performance management, and staff development, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a background in HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in HR/Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience including payroll, performance management, leave administration, and recruitment.
• Practicing Catholic with ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll timekeeping and wage deductions.
• Support benefits administration and open enrollment.
• Coordinate recruitment, postings, and job fairs.
• Assist with employee relations and exit interviews.
• Ensure compliance with policies and government regulations.
