Job summary

1A Auto is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support onboarding, benefits, payroll, and HRIS duties in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment near Boston.

You will collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance across federal, state, and local laws, maintain HR records, and drive employee engagement. Candidates should have at least 5 years HR experience, a bachelor's degree, and certifications like PHR or SHRM-CP preferred. We foster a can-do culture and professional discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of employment laws for remote and onsite workforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidentiality.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding new hires and managing HR policies, procedures and benefits.
• Maintain compliance with federal, multi-state and local laws.
• Administer benefits, payroll support, and HRIS systems.
• Manage HR records and confidentiality.
• Support data analysis and HR reporting.
• Advise leadership on compliance matters.
• Promote culture and employee engagement.
