Jerry.ai is hiring for an HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You will draft policies, drive compliance across classifications, and elevate HR processes with AI-native approaches. You’ll partner with a small, fast-paced team and impact how AI shapes day-to-day HR work.

The role emphasizes hands-on in-house experience, ownership, and the ability to navigate complex edge cases in a growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, any discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands-on HR generalist experience with in-house multi-state compliance.
• Experience drafting HR policies and handling payroll and filings.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team; eager to explore AI-assisted HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications.
• Lead annual compliance audits and handbook refresh within the first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration teammates.
• Redesign HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
