Job summary

Crisis Connections is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support daily HR operations with a focus on LOA management, accommodations, and employee experience, ensuring compliance and a thriving workplace culture.

This role collaborates with managers to administer leaves, conduct investigations, guide corrective actions, and coordinate programs such as EAP, PEP, and BEAM, while maintaining accurate HR data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience.
• 3+ years in HR including employee relations, benefits, leaves, and accommodations.
• Strong empathy and communication skills for sensitive life events.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS and data systems.
• Experience with union labor relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end LOA cases (FMLA, disability, military, state leave laws).
• Oversee LOA system and coordinate return to work with stakeholders.
• Educate staff and managers on leave rules and interplay of leave types.
• Support reporting of leave metrics and costs.
• Handle non-complex employee relations and escalate complex issues.
• Conduct investigations into workplace complaints.
• Guide managers through corrective actions and performance plans.
• Coordinate EAP, wellness events, and BEAM/PEP programs.
• Administer ADA accommodations and ensure compliance.
• Manage workers' comp lifecycle and return-to-work programs.
