Job summary

Crisis Connections in the United States is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support daily HR operations with emphasis on LOA management, accommodations, and employee experience, ensuring compliance and a thriving workplace culture.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR & Employee Experience, you will handle leave administration, employee relations, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation, partnering with managers and finance to support a high-functioning organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in HR including employee relations, benefits, leaves, and accommodations.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience with HRIS or data systems.
• Knowledge of state and federal leave laws and EEO regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end LOA cases, incl. FMLA, disability, and state leave laws.
• Oversee LOA system administration and collaboration with managers, finance, and vendors.
• Educate staff on leave rules and guidelines.
• Support reporting of leave metrics and costs.
• Review leave transfer requests and advise leadership.
• Provide intake and support on non-complex employee relations issues.
• Conduct investigations into workplace complaints.
• Support resolution of interpersonal disputes between staff and management.
• Guide managers through corrective actions and PIPs.
• Coordinate EAP and wellness events.
• Manage Performance Excellence Program (PEP) lifecycle.
• Manage BEAM program.
• Administer ADA accommodation processes ensuring compliance.
• Facilitate conversations to identify needs and determine accommodations.
• Assist evaluation of documentation and coordinate with managers and L&D.
• Recommend tools or modified duties to enable essential functions.
• Manage lifecycle of workplace injury and illness claims.
• Review accident reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise between injured employees, providers, and insurers.
• Partner with HR and Finance to set up WC in other states.
