Security Industry Specialists, Inc. (SIS) seeks an HR Generalist I to be the first point of contact for employees seeking human resources support in Austin.

The role handles benefits, verifications, and general HR inquiries, routing complex items appropriately while documenting interactions for continuous service improvement. The position is office-based in Austin, TX with travel up to 20% for hiring events.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
• Comfort using HRIS and ticketing systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication for a non-office workforce.

Responsibilities

• Answer employee contacts across phone, ticket, and email (45%).
• Document every contact in the ticketing system with category, resolution, and time to close (15%).
• Complete unemployment documents and other requests (15%).
• Escalate appropriately to payroll, benefits, recruitment, or onboarding with context (10%).
• Support coverage during open enrollment peaks and overtime as approved (10%).
• Perform related duties as assigned (5%).
