Job summary

CMC is seeking a skilled HR professional to ensure staffing needs are met, manage recruiting in the ATS, and conduct new employee orientations. You will support employee relations, benefits enrollment, training, and policy implementation across our facilities in Spartanburg, SC.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 3+ years HR experience, Spanish language ability preferred, and willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years work experience in HR (recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training, compensation or labor relations).
• Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation and related laws required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Strong client-facing, consultative problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel locally up to 20-40% (mobility preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure staffing needs are met in a timely manner.
• Maintain recruiting activity and documentation in the ATS per affirmative action policies.
• Conduct new employee orientations.
• Promote positive employee relations and CMC culture.
• Handle day-to-day transactions like new hires and data changes with accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA and related laws.
• Assist investigations and respond to government or internal HR charges.
• Participate in compensation planning and employee development.
• Educate employees about CMC benefits during enrollment.
• Provide training and facilitation as needed.
• Identify issues and communicate with the HR Manager for resolution.
• Ensure consistent application of CMC policies.
