Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) invites applicants for an on-site HR Recruiter role based in Jacksonville. You will lead staffing efforts, manage ATS records, and conduct new employee orientations to ensure seamless onboarding.

You’ll collaborate to maintain policy adherence, support benefits enrollment, and participate in compensation and performance initiatives, helping shape a strong CMC culture and compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in human resources including recruiting, employee relations, benefits
• Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, DOL, E-Verify, and related laws
• Strong client-facing consultative mindset and problem-solving ability
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel locally 20-40% (mobility preferred)

Responsibilities

• Meet staffing needs in a timely manner
• Manage recruiting activity and documentation in the ATS per policy
• Coordinate new employee orientations
• Foster positive employee relations and CMC culture
• Handle day-to-day HR transactions and data changes accurately
• Oversee compliance with EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA and related laws
• Assist investigations and respond to government or internal charges
• Participate in compensation planning, performance reviews and development planning
• Explain CMC benefits and support annual enrollment
• Training and facilitation
• Flag issues to HR Manager and help solve
• Ensure policy consistency
