Job summary

CRi - Community Residences, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide hands-on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operational support across the organization.

The role partners with HR leadership and teams to ensure consistent HR practices and regulatory compliance in a nonprofit setting. The HR Generalist will handle employee relations, investigations, unemployment administration, policy interpretation, and lifecycle HR tasks, with a focus on delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, organizational development, or related field (or equivalent).
• At least five years of progressive HR experience.
• Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and advising managers.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR resource for employee relations matters.
• Coach managers on performance concerns and corrective action.
• Conduct timely investigations involving harassment, discrimination, or policy violations.
• Assist with unemployment administration and hearings as needed.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Oversee onboarding, offboarding, and lifecycle HR processes.
• Deliver HR-related training and communications.
