Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking an HR Generalist with an Employee Relations focus to support leaders and employees in a senior care context. The role emphasizes policy guidance, performance management, and compliance, handling inquiries, investigations, onboarding, and HR data integrity.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of HR experience, a bachelor’s degree (HR preferred), and proficiency with MS Office and HRIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Human Resources preferred.
• 2–4 years of progressive human resources experience required.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Working knowledge of employee relations practices, corrective action processes, and basic employment law.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; HRIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a first point of contact for leaders and employees on HR policies and inquiries.
• Guides leaders on performance management, corrective actions, and leave/accommodation requirements (including ADA).
• Advises on day-to-day employee relations issues, attendance, performance, and policy interpretation.
• Supports disciplinary actions up to terminations in alignment with policy and law.
• Conducts low-level employee relations investigations and documents findings.
• Ensures investigations are confidential and compliant, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Triages high volume inquiries using Salesforce case management; ensures timely resolutions.
• Maintains confidential employee records related to compensation, benefits, training, and status changes.
• Assists with onboarding and smooth new-hire experience.
• Supports HR Business Partners and leadership with projects, audits, and initiatives.
• Demonstrates alignment with company culture and beliefs; promotes engagement.
