Qualifications

• Hands-on HR generalist experience in-house, multi-state compliance.
• Experience drafting and updating policies and responding to escalations.
• Direct payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
• Comfort with using AI to improve HR ops processes.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance tracking and policy updates across employee classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh within 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave inquiries.
• Review and unblock work for Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Rearchitect HR ops with an AI-native mindset for improved workflows.
• Grow into day-to-day HR operations ownership over time.
