Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an in-house HR generalist to own complex, multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits questions. You’ll drive the annual audit and handbook refresh, and mentor the Payroll/HR Administration team as you optimize HR processes with an AI-first approach.

You’ll work in a small, fast-paced team and help shape how AI fits into HR operations, balancing hands-on work with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on in-house HR generalist experience with policy drafting and payroll involvement.
• Genuine in-house multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team handling payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Eager to build with AI in HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance tracking, policy updates, and implementation across employee classifications.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh from start to finish in the first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions with judgment and care.
• Review and unblock the work of Payroll and HR Administration teammates.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
• Grow into day-to-day HR operations management over time.
