Job summary

HTI is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support a brand-new manufacturing facility in Duncan, SC. You will help shape workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations as the operation grows.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR, manufacturing experience, and a track record of building HR processes from the ground up. SHRM-CP/PHR or similar certification is a plus; this role blends strategy with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience with manufacturing/industrial exposure.
• HRBP or HR Manager experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution setting.
• Strong employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management skills.
• Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Confidence working independently and delivering HR recommendations.
• Excellent organization, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting facility launches or significant growth is preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for site leadership and employees.
• Help establish HR processes, policies, and workplace practices for the new facility.
• Partner with leadership on staffing plans, workforce development, and org structure.
• Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for hourly and salaried staff.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, attendance, and corrective action.
• Coach managers on leadership, development, and workplace communication.
• Support compensation, benefits, payroll, and HRIS activities.
• Coordinate training, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations at all levels.
• Track HR metrics and identify opportunities to improve retention and performance.
