Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an HR Manager at Plant 8S in Columbia, South Carolina to serve as a strategic partner to plant leaders and associates. The role leads site HR programs, ensures policy and regulatory compliance, and strengthens organizational capability while fostering an inclusive, engaging employee experience.

The position also owns training strategy, development, delivery, and measurement, including onboarding, compliance training, leadership development, and maintenance of training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years HR Generalist/HR Management experience.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Plant Manager and site leadership, aligning people strategies with operational priorities.
• Lead the administration and implementation of all site HR programs, practices, and services.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to team members and other assigned direct reports.
• Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and change management.
• Serve as an associate advocate while applying company policies and practices fairly, consistently, and respectfully.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
• Conduct timely, thorough, and objective workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions.
• Partner with leaders to identify workforce risks, talent gaps, staffing priorities, and organizational capability needs.
• Lead site talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and employee development efforts.
• Support recruiting, selection, onboarding, retention, and internal movement processes.
• Manage site reward and recognition programs and the associated budget.
• Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, inclusion, accountability, communication, and workplace culture.
• Support community outreach and associate involvement initiatives.
• Use workforce data, trends, and feedback to identify opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
• Maintain confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee and business information.
