We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support a manufacturing operation and work closely with plant leadership and employees across the site.
This is a broad, hands-on HR role for someone who understands the pace and demands of a manufacturing environment. The HR Business Partner will support recruiting, onboarding, employee retention, workforce planning, employee relations, and HR initiatives while helping plant leaders address day-to-day workforce challenges.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with operations leaders and frontline employees and can balance tactical HR responsibilities with larger projects and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with plant and operations leadership on workforce needs, employee issues, staffing, and organizational priorities.
- Support recruiting activities, including interviewing, candidate selection, hiring, and workforce planning.
- Help manage and improve the onboarding experience for new employees.
- Identify employee retention challenges and work with leadership to develop solutions.
- Provide HR guidance to managers and employees on workplace and people-related matters.
- Lead HR projects from initial planning through implementation and completion.
- Turn broader business and HR goals into practical action plans for the site.
- Track workforce metrics and use data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Review current HR processes and recommend ways to make them more efficient and effective.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate repetitive HR activities.
- Update or redesign HR procedures as business needs change.
- Mentor and support junior HR team members and help develop their capabilities.
- Review work completed by less-experienced team members to ensure quality and consistency.
- Build strong working relationships across HR, operations, leadership, and other business functions.
- Help leaders navigate change and successfully implement new programs or processes.
Required Background
- Previous HR experience within a manufacturing, plant, industrial, or production environment.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Experience supporting employee retention and engagement efforts.
- Demonstrated experience partnering directly with plant managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Ability to manage projects and priorities independently.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence leaders and work effectively across organizational levels.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with HR metrics and workforce data.
Preferred Experience
Strong candidates may currently hold titles such as:

Experience supporting hourly, production, skilled-trades, or frontline employees is strongly preferred.
