Job Description:

Note: Hybrid role based in Lexington, MA or near Covington, GA (Atlanta is around 40 miles away) preferred, with the possibility of remote work. Requires 5 days on-site per month.

Employee Relations Partner

We need a seasoned Employee Relations Partner with manufacturing experience or support for 24/7 operations. The ER Partner will act as the central point of contact and subject matter expert for employee relation issues within assigned business units. Responsibilities include coaching managers on discipline, performance management, conflict resolution, conducting workplace investigations, and collaborating with legal and compliance teams.

How you will contribute:
  • Gather information and prepare documentation related to employee relations issues, including investigations into harassment, discrimination, and compliance matters.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to management on employee conduct, performance issues, and grievances, maintaining communication with HR Business Partners.
  • Manage the interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Contribute to ER best practices, policies, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Leave of Absence, Occupational Health, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams on employee relations matters.
Dimensions and Aspects:
  • Leadership: This is an individual contributor role requiring leadership behaviors.
  • Decision-making and Autonomy: Advise on employee relations matters, consulting with relevant partners on complex issues. Interact effectively at all organizational levels, modeling company values.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; qualification in Human Resource Management preferred, with at least 7 years of HR/Employee Relations experience.
  • Experience in diverse environments, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or scientific industries.
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal, conflict management, and diagnostic skills.
