Your opportunity

New Relic is looking for an experienced HR professional to join a fast-paced, high-performing global HR Business Partner team. We seek a trusted advisor and strategic thinker skilled in relationship building, influence, and negotiation. The HRBP will partner with global teams, including People, Finance, Legal, and Tech Leaders, to foster an innovative, growth-oriented culture.

This role focuses on the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization, balancing regional complexities with global HR strategies to deliver business outcomes and enhance employee experience through data analysis, trend assessment, and root cause analysis.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for Engineering, Product, and Design teams in North America, collaborating with leaders and managers across HR lifecycle processes.
  • Develop strategic HR plans aligned with business goals after understanding team strategies and objectives.
  • Advise on and influence talent strategies to support regional and global business needs.
  • Act as a coach and change management liaison, designing and implementing change initiatives with minimal disruption.
  • Innovate and improve HR practices and methodologies.
  • Analyze data and trends to recommend initiatives that improve employee engagement, DEI, retention, and performance.
  • Coordinate with the global HRBP EPD team on strategies and priorities.
  • Partner with People, Finance, and other teams on HR initiatives such as organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, and culture.
  • Support regional culture and trust through collaboration with local advocates.
  • Work proactively with Talent Acquisition to develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and safeguard data security and confidentiality.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and business unit committees.

This role requires

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner experience in a fast-paced, customer-driven organization.
  • Extensive employee relations experience.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Deep expertise in one or more HR disciplines (e.g., recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, benefits).
  • Experience managing regional challenges and complex projects across multiple geographies.

Bonus points if you have

  • Degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
  • Experience supporting global engineering organizations in the SaaS industry.
  • Previous work with a multinational US-headquartered company.
