Job description

BASIC PURPOSE: Serve as a trusted business partner and coach to leaders in the organization, providing partnership, leadership, and counsel. A strong understanding of business objectives is essential to translate global strategies into people goals and collaborate closely with the broader HR team on execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide advice and counsel on complex HR issues such as organizational design, change management initiatives, strategic workforce planning, and day-to-day guidance on HR practices and policies. Work closely with HR partners and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure consistency and effective execution. Support employee relations to ensure legal compliance and foster a respectful working environment. Coach and develop managers and key talents, drive development initiatives, and succession planning for long-term success. Consult on organizational change management and employee issues. Promote employee engagement through communication, programs, and growth opportunities. Facilitate talent development plans, including assignments, coaching, mentoring, and training, to strengthen the talent pipeline. Act as a coach and facilitator as needed, adopting a problem-solving approach to business partnership, open to inputs while capable of decisive action. Assess organizational needs proactively, recommend solutions, and implement them. Use data and dashboards to identify issues and track progress. Collaborate with COEs on communication of programs. Evaluate the impact of business decisions on the workforce and propose solutions to optimize opportunities and mitigate downsides. Build trust and credibility through follow-through, positive relationships, and championing organizational values. Stay current on market and functional trends to create organizational value. Prioritize personal and team development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

Education: BS/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Experience: 5-7+ years in HR generalist roles, with demonstrated experience in HR COE or operational functions. Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing and mediating conflicts. Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and confidentiality. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. Talent assessment skills to identify leadership potential. Analytical skills to translate strategy into results. Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems. Experience working with HR and business leaders to understand issues and craft solutions. Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Ability to embrace ambiguity, act as a change agent, and drive organizational change. Proven ability to get things done through others, leveraging networks and working across boundaries. Strong project management skills and the ability to develop and implement creative HR solutions.
